Day 01 :
Kampala to Mabamba Swamp ( Bay Wetlands )

On this 1 Day Mabamba Swamp Birding Tour, go on a ride to watch the Shoebill Stork at Mabamba Wetland Swamp. This tour starts from your hotel in Kampala to Mabamba Wetland Swamp for bird watching adventures where you can see the most sought after shoe bill stork feeding in the swamps. Mabamba Wetland Swamp is a wetland found just at the outskirts of Kampala and is home to over 190,000 birds with the major bird watched here being the Shoe Bill stork.

After the tour, drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Dinner and overnights at Ziwa Ranch.

Day 02 :
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Murchison Falls NP

After breakfast, proceed for a guided walking safari in search of Rhinos.

Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda following their extinction and thus offers an unforgettable Rhino tracking experience. Ziwa is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild. Presently the sanctuary is home to over twenty (20) southern white Rhinos. After a walking safari, proceed for lunch then afterwards you will continue on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park and visit top of falls where the park derives its name from.

Day 03 :
Murchison

After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive where you will have a chance to spot early risers and nocturnal species before they return to their hideouts. This is the most beautiful national park in Uganda because it hosts 4 of the big 5 animals and also it’s home to one of the most beautiful and powerful falls.

Today you will have a chance of viewing some of the Park’s residents including lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartbeests, antelopes, buffalo,  elephants and many more animals found in the park.

For the birders, you will enjoy a cock tail of them as these areas support the secretary bird and the black chested snake eagle, to name a few.

In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a small 7 meter gorge plunging 43 meters into the Nile on the way to Lake Albert.

After the cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 :
Murchison Falls NP to Kibale Forest

After breakfast, proceed on your last mroning game drive then continue with a transfer to Kibale National Park. This park is highly alluring to nature lovers  for its excellent chimpanzee trekking and bird watching. It boosts of the highest total of primates such as velvet, red-tailed, L’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, red Columbus, olive baboon and chimpanzee.

Day 05 :
Kibale Forest

On this day, after breakfast, proceed on a Chimpazee trekking then later on after lunch proceed on a community tour and get to meet the locals and also visit a primary school nearby and give some donations to the school and the students.

Day 06 :
Kibale Forest to Queen Elizabeth

After early breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth NP, arrive in time for your game drive in search of members of the big five including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopard, other mammals such as giant forest hogs and antelopes. You will return to the lodge for lunch.

Later on for an evening game drive in search of more animals and birds.

Day 07 :
Queen Elizabeth NP to Bwindi Forest

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth NP and later proceed to Isasha sector in search of tree climbing lions in the park. Lunch will be served en route.

After the game drives, drive to Bwindi Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 08 :
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, you will take packed lunch, have a briefing by the game guides at the park headquarters and start your gorilla trail. Hiking through the thick, verdant, rainforest to eventually come across the gorillas in their natural habitat, which is an amazing and unforgettable experience. This encounter takes between 2 to 5 hours and is the highlight of an Africa exploration safari. You will only have 1 hour of close contact with these calm gentle apes, take pictures and get acquainted to them.

After this encounter transfer back to the Lodge for relaxation or you can do a community walk tour in Buhoma as you support the locals and get to learn more about the area.

Day 09 :
Bwindi Forest to Lake Mburo

In the morning, you will set off a scenic drive to Lake Mburo national park, reaching in the afternoon for lunch. After lunch, go for afternoon game drive, where you will be rewarded with view of hippos, crocodiles, as well as a variety of bird species, Zebras, warthogs, buffalo, giraffes, eland and many other animals found in the park . Dinner and overnight stay at Kigambira Safari Lodge

Day 10 :
Lake Mburo to Enttebe Airport

Early breakfast, head out for the last game drives around the park after which You will then exit the park and proceed to Entebbe airport for your connecting journey back home. You will also make a stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for an amazing photo session for memories. END
